Transportation
If you know me in person, then you probably know I am a train connoisseur. I take my train travel seriously and highly believe in the efficient rail system. So besides my biased opinion on trains, below you will hear what are the best ways to travel in each country.
Europe is a great place to travel thanks to its public transport. Not only does this make travelling through European countries cheap, but it even makes it comfortable. A lot of European countries take pride in their public transport, so they make sure to keep it clean, on time, and high class.
Best Inteuropean Services
Here is a list of the best websites to use when you are travelling between European countries or planning some kind of Eurotrip.
Interrail/Eurail
Great deals on tickets and has an amazing mobile app with the schedules of all the trains.
Omio
When you have no idea what to take to get somewhere, Omio is the best starting point for looking.
Flix Bus
The best bus company in Europe, but it sometimes tends to get expensive. Get lucky with deals!
Travel within Poland
Below you will find an assortment of websites and apps which are essential ton mastering the public transportation system within Poland. Using public transport in Poland is fairly easy, the only confusing thing is discounts so make sure you read the rules and regulations to see whether or not you truly qualify for a discount!
E-Podróznik
This is a great website for travel within Poland. It shows you all possible train and bus connections between your starting point and you end point, most tickets you can even buy through their website directly.
Polskie Linje Kolejowe
The national Polish train service, and the cheapest and most comfortable way to travel around Poland. The website is easy to use and you might even qualify for a discount (i.e. student) if you come from an EU country.
JakDojade
The best app to use for public transport within Polish cities. In all major cities in Poland, this app works and you can directly buy public transport tickets through the app. It shows you all timetables and is easy to use!
Travel within Germany
Out of all the European countries I've been to, travelling within Germany has been the most difficult. This is due to the fact that in most of Germany you can only pay with cash and the fact that Germany's main train company Deutschebahn is terrible, sorry.
Rome 2 Rio
The only good website to find all possible ways to transport yourself within Germany.
Deutschebahn
Germany's main train company, it almost always runs late and is very expensive, but it is almost always your only choice.
Google Maps
For public transport within cities, Google Maps public transport option is the best within Germany. Make sure you have cash to buy tickets
Travel within Norway
Public transport within Norway is amazing, all the vehicles are held to a high standard of quality and they are always on time. The only issue is that it is expensive, but everything in Norway is expensive.
Ruter.no
The best website for all public transport within Norway. Here you can find all the timetables as well as buy tickets. Before your travel, make sure to download the mobile apps, RuterReise and RuterBillett.
SammeVei
Since Norway can be a bit expensive, you might be looking for a cheaper way to travel. If this is the case, then carpooling might be the best option for you. For a small fee, you can join this network of Norwegian carpoolers.
Miscellaneous
Each city and township has their own private public transport system in Norway. Before you go to a specific city or region, it is best you check what company runs the public transport and download their app!
Travel within Iceland
Iceland is unlike the other European countries, it has no rail system meaning there are no trains. The remoteness of the island also makes public transport sparse and more difficult from city to city. My personal advice is it is best to rent out a car.
Strætó
City busses within Iceland's cities with all the schedules and the possibility to buy tickets.
Samferda
If you are planning a longer journey in between cities then your best bet in Iceland might be carpooling.

Travel within Switzerland
Public transport within Switzerland is impeccable, you can truly get everywhere with public transport.
Swiss Federal Railway
The train system is great in Switzerland, you can almost get everywhere by train. Wherever you cnanot get by train, there is a bus going from the Postbus company, tickets which you can also buy from the train service.
Postbus
This is the bus service in Switzerland that goes everywhere that the train cannot go. In Switzerland, it is also common in the mountains to travel by cablecar, some tickets you can purchase on their website as well.
Travel within the United States
To be quite frank, the United States does not have a good public transportation city. Some cities like New York City will have public transport, but really anywhere else and you are on your own.
Greyhound
It is the best public bus to use in the US although it tends to have a bad reputation.
Amtrak
The only public train system travelling between states in the US that is somewhat reliable.
Private Vehicle
This is your best best within the US if you are anywhere outside of a city. Just rent a car.
Travel within the Netherlands
The Netherlands are a great country to get your fitness going, as in my opinion the best ways to get around are either by bike or by foot. Incase you need intercity transport then Google Maps will show you all available transit options.
Bike!
The Netherlands are infamously known for their bikes, it is the most popular way to get around the country. This is an awesome choice to travel, not only is it cheap but it is very convenient and extremely fun!
Google Maps
If you need intercity transport, simply type your destination into Google Maps and the app will show you all the possible public transport options. These two things are all that I believe is needed in the Netherlands.
Yes, travelling within Europe is extremely easy. Not only is it easy, but public transport in Europe is comfortable, and in most cases, very affordable. My biggest experience with public transport in Europe is within Poland, since I live in Poland. My favourite way to travel is by train, as there are so many luxuries and it is cheap for me as a student (I get 50% off on all tickets).
Within trains you find sleeping places, comfort seats, bars, restaurants, you even have separate cabins where you can take a bike if you are travelling with a bike! It is amazing. Here below I will show you some photos of the comfort you get while travelling by train within Europe.
